I grew up in Haliburton and began taking piano lessons at the age of 7. I performed regularly in the town's local festival and started teaching at the age of 13. After high school, I moved to Calgary for a few years and decided I'd like to study music at university so prepared myself for auditions and ended up moving back to Ontario and getting a Bachelor of Music degree from Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo.
